LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party (SP) is irked over dislodging of its Faizabad MP Awadhesh Prasad from the front row in Lok Sabha in the ongoing winter session of Parliament. The party has taken up the issue with the speaker and is hopeful that the original seating arrangement will be restored, reports.

Prasad, who was showcased by the INDIA bloc as the star of 2024 LS polls for having defeated BJP in Faizabad, which has the Ayodhya assembly seat under it, until now shared the front bench with Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav.In the ongoing session, Prasad has been allotted a seat in the second row. SP is also "uncomfortable" over LoP Rahul Gandhi's silence on the issue. Per tradition, seating arrangements are finalised by the speaker after the LoP's acknowledgment. Akhilesh dismissed reports of being upset with Congress, but added those responsible for seat allotment should consider BJP will try to create divisions within INDIA.
