NEW DELHI: A court in Delhi on Wednesday convicted expelled BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar of culpable homicide not amounting to murder in the death of the

District judge Dharmesh Sharma said Sengar had no intention of killing the victim's father. "He was beaten in a brutal manner that led to his death," the judge said.
Charges were framed against 10 people, including Sengar, in the custodial death case.

Sengar was also convicted in raping the girl. The case was investigated by CBI on direction of the Supreme Court. The matter was heard in the Tis Hazari Court in Delhi.
Convict Kuldeep Singh Sengar, 53, was sentenced to life imprisonment on December 20, 2019 by a Delhi court in the gang-rape case.
