MUMBAI: The Film Federation of India (FFI) has decided to retain Eklavya as the official entry to Oscars in the Foreign Language category, FFI sources said. This decision has been conveyed to the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences as the deadline ended on Wednesday, sources said. The FFI was given the option by the Academy to either reaffirm its original choice of Eklavya or send in a new entry by today.

Eklvaya was taken at the Federation's meeting held on Monday, the sources said. Meanwhile, the High Court will continue to hear the matter on Thursday. The FFI chairman Vinod Pande, however, declined to comment on the issue saying that he was yet to get any official confirmation as yet.
