Central Prison, Bangalore, also known as Bangalore Central Jail or Parappana Agrahara Central Prison, holds the distinction of being the largest prison in the Indian state of Karnataka. Founded in 1997, it assumed the role of the central prison of Bangalore in 2000 after the closure of the old jail.
