In a swift operation, the Madhya Pradesh anti-terror squad on Sunday arrested eight suspected terrorists attached to the Indian Mujahideen and the banned Students Islamic Movement of India.

BHOPAL: In a swift operation, the Madhya Pradesh anti-terror squad (ATS) on Sunday arrested eight suspected terrorists attached to the Indian Mujahideen (IM) and the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI).
Three of those arrested are accused in the July 26, 2008 Ahmedabad serial blasts case which killed 56 persons and injured 200. Four people, including Sheikh Mujib, one of the main accused in the Ahmedabad blasts case and chief of an IM module, was arrested early on Sunday morning from a house in Jabalpur city.

He was armed and fired on the police but no one was hurt.
Interrogation of Mujib revealed four IM men were travelling to Bhopal from Jabalpur in the Jan Shatabdi Express on Sunday morning.
