Donald Trump's Gaza takeover talk dangerous, bizarre: Congress

NEW DELHI: Congress dubbed US President Donald Trump's remarks about America taking over Gaza as "bizarre, dangerous and unacceptable in every way".

It asked the Narendra Modi-led govt to make clear its response to Trump's views, as has already been done by other countries.

AICC spokesperson Jairam Ramesh said, "The only basis for lasting peace in West Asia is a two-State solution that meets the entirely legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people to live in freedom and dignity, while at the same time ensuring security for Israel. " He further added, "The Narendra Modi-led govt should make its response to this view of the US President absolutely clear. The governments of other countries have already done so." tnn
