DMK MP moves privilege notice against Piyush Goyal

NEW DELHI: DMK MP Tiruchi Siva Monday said he had submitted a breach of privilege notice against commerce minister Piyush Goyal for sharing details of an interim trade deal between India and the US at a presser while the Parliament was in session.Siva raised the issue soon after RS met on Monday morning. "He (Goyal) has given an interview with regard to a policy decision of the govt outside the House when Parliament was in session. It amounts to a breach of privilege of this House," Siva said. LoP Kharge supported him. Responding, Chairman C P Radhakrishnan said he would look into the matter and noted that Goyal had already made a statement in the House. TNN
