BJP candidate Raj Sinha won the Dhanbad assembly constituency by a margin of 48,741 votes against Indian National Congress' Ajay Dubey, as election commission data shows.
Sinha won the seat with a total number of 1,36,336 votes while Congress' Ajay Dubey only received 87,595 seats.
Dhanbad holds significant importance as an assembly constituency in Jharkhand.

In the 2019 assembly elections, Raj Sinha from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the seat with 120,773 votes. His closest rival, Mannan Mallik from the Indian National Congress, received 90,144 votes, while independent candidate Ranjit Singh, also known as Bablu Singh, got 2,852 votes.
