Scheduled for May 13, the polls in Dewas constituency are poised to witness a showdown between candidates from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress, with Mahendra Singh Solanki and Rajendra Malviya leading their respective parties. The results for Dewas Lok Sabha Constituency are to be declared on June 4 along with all other Lok Sabha seats.

In 2009, Dewas had a total of 1,297,313 electors. The Indian National Congress candidate, Sajjan Singh Verma, emerged victorious with 376,421 votes, defeating the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate, Thavarchand Gehlot, by a narrow margin of 15,457 votes.
