HASSAN: Election officials would issue a notice to former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda and his son H D Revanna for 'violating secrecy' while casting vote as both the leaders were accompanied by their wife inside the polling booth when they exercised their franchise.
Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer, Naveen Raj Singh directed the Assistant Commissioner, Hassan, to issue the notice to both the leaders for 'violating secrecy' while voting.

On April 30, during the second phase of polling, the two leaders, accompanied by their family members, cast their votes at a polling booth at Paduvalahippe in Holenarasipur taluk.
Devegowda exercised his franchise along with his wife Chennamma while Revanna cast his vote with his wife at Bhavani
Seeing the footage in the visual media, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Assistant Commissioner to issue notice to both the leaders.
According to official sources, the polling officer on duty did not bring this to the notice of senior officers.
