Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal didn't appear before the ED on Thursday and termed the summon notice by the central probe agency as "politically motivated".
Oct 4, 2023: AAP MP Sanjay Singh's taken into custody after ED raids
ED conducted raids on AAP MP Sanjay Singh’s house and took him into custody after questioning him for an hour. Following this, the Supreme Court rejected Sisodia’s bail plea on October 30, 2023.
March 4, 2023: CBI extends Manish Sisodia's custody till March 6
A Delhi court extended former deputy CM Manish Sisodia's custody for two more days. On March 9, ED officials arrested him after interrogating him for the second time. He is currently lodged in Tihar Jail.
Feb 16, 2023: CBI arrests Sisoda in connection with case
In a major blow to AAP, the CBI arrested Sisodia after interrogating him for eight hours. Later, Sisodia and jailed minister Satyendar Jain resigned from the Delhi cabinet.
Oct 17, 2022: CBI quizzes Sisodia for 8 hours
The former deputy CM was questioned by the CBI for 8 hours. On November 25, 2022, the CBI filed a chargesheet against seven accused in the case, leaving out Sisodia.
Oct 7, 2022: ED raids 35 locations across country
The Enforcement Directorate officials conducted raids at 35 locations across the country. During the raid, Rs 1 crore cash was seized from a businessman's house.
Aug 31, 2022: Delhi govt withdraws new policy following backlash
Following the backlash, the Delhi government withdrew the newly introduced excise policy and brought back the old regime. On September 27, 2022, the CBI arrested Vijay Nair, the then communications in-charge of AAP. Nair was named as accused number 5 in the FIR.
A day later, the MD of liquor distributor, Indospirit Group, Sameer Mahendru was also arrested.

The CBI registered a case against 15 accused, including the then deputy CM Manish Sisodia. The agency conducted raids at 31 places. During the several documents and electronic devices were seized.
Nov 2021: Delhi govt introduces new Liquor policy
The Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government introduced the new liquor policy for 2021-2022 in November. The matter took a dramatic turn on July 22, 2022, after Lieutenant Governor of Delhi VK Saxena recommended a CBI probe into the matter for ‘deliberate and gross procedural lapses’ to provide ‘undue benefits’ to liquor licensees.
