Defamation case filed against Raveena Tandon

MUMBAI: People Interactive IndiaPrivate Ltd, owner of marriage portal and its publication, has filed a defamationcase against film star Raveena Tandon in the Metropolitan Magistrate court formaking derogatory remarks in the media against the portal."Raveenahad made derogatory and defamatory remarks in the media against in the media saying theportal was irresponsibly writing articles without any basis," lawyer Sujit Jainsaid.In response to her defamatory remarks and to prove itsbonafides, he said, "People Interactive, the owner of and has filed a criminalcomplaint against Raveena Tandon for defamation and to seek herprosecution."Jain pointed out that despite the Bombay High Courtduring the recent hearing of suit filed by her against the portal recognisedthat Tandon had given interview to the portal, the film star had made derogatoryand defamatory remarks in the media about `Shaadi.com' that it was irresponsiblywriting articles without any basis.
