'Data nhi, beta chahiye': Prashant Kishore's message to PM Modi - watch
NEW DELHI: Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor on Friday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remarks about providing cheap data in Bihar, arguing that it will not bring meaningful change to the state’s development.
He further accused PM Modi of prioritising his home state of Gujarat, claiming that the prime minister invests and sets up factories there- creating employment.
"PM Modi two days back said in Bihar that we are providing cheap data in Bihar. I want to tell him -'humein data nahi, beta chahiye'... You will take factories to Gujarat and give data to Bihar so that people here can see their children only on video calls,” Kishor said.
Kishor, who has been touring Bihar under his Jan Suraaj Yatra, has frequently criticised both the ruling NDA and the Mahagathbandhan, claiming that neither alliance represents real change for the state. His Jan Suraaj Party has announced that it will contest all 243 seats in Bihar.
Prime Minister Modi on Friday kicked off his Bihar election campaign from Samastipur, joined by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, reaffirming the NDA’s confidence in returning to power.
Earlier, RJD leader and Mahagathbandhan’s chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav had accused PM Modi of “deceiving” the people of Bihar and alleged that whatever the prime minister has provided to the state “is not even one per cent of what was given to Gujarat.”
The Bihar Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with results to be announced on November 14
