Cultural awakening has begun, will boost India’s glory: Shah

NEW DELHI: A cultural awakening had started in the country in 2014 and it will take India to heights of glory it enjoyed earlier, home minister Amit Shah said on Thursday.

Shah was speaking after the special screening of the Hindi feature film “Samrat Prithviraj” at a prominent Delhi theatre in presence of lead stars including Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar. “Samrat Prithviraj is not only the story of an unparalleled warrior who fought bravely for our motherland, but it also reflects the greatness of our culture,” Shah said after watching the movie.

He said the film ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ depicts the Indian culture of respecting and empowering women. He further said that after overcoming many obstacles and difficulties, today India’s pride, greatness, culture and our ‘Swadharma’ have once again been restored to the same glory. “Prithviraj fought on every inch of land between

and Delhi. The fight of 900-1,000 years has not been in vain and we won Independence in 1947. I can say with great conviction that cultural revival since 2014 will once again take the country to those heights,” Shah said.
