Cricketer Parvinder Awana beaten up in Greater Noida

NEW DELHI: In a shocking incident, Delhi pacer Parvinder Awana was on Friday beaten up by five people in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida, ANI reported.

According to ANI, the state police have started investigation in to the assault.

The reason for the assault is yet to be known.

This is not the first time Awana has found himself in such a situation.

On March 7, 2014, Awana was punched repeatedly by a Noida policemen over an argument over parking.

According to police report, head constable Bhagat Singh Yadav had punched Awana repeatedly after the latter had parked his car on the side of the road to take a phone call near Noida's

Later, the constable was suspended and Awana also didn't file an FIR against him.
