Coronavirus: US will donate ventilators to India, Donald Trump says

India's Covid-19 death toll surged to 2,649 with the number of cases nearing the 82,000-mark. 3,967 new cases were recorded, and 100 deaths. According to the latest figures, 51,401 patients are active coronavirus cases while 27,919 patients have been cured/discharged and one patient has been migrated. Stay here for all live updates

Sri Lanka on Thursday decided to re-impose a day-long curfew across the country on Sunday, days after the government ordered easing of the nearly two-month long coronavirus lockdown. To revive economic activities, President Rajapaksa on Monday ordered easing of the lockdown, which was in force since March 20 to combat the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
