Congress bargains with tribal party over Rajasthan seats

JAIPUR: Congress, which has decided to leave three Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan for three smaller parties, has agreed to support Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP) candidate Rajkumar Roat in Banswara to take on BJP nominee Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya. In return, Congress is pressing the tribal party to withdraw its candidates from Udaipur and Chittorgarh seats.

Local leaders of both parties are also debating who will contest the Bagidora assembly seat, vacated after Malviya's departure to BJP in Feb.
