Cong demands judicial probe into MLA's killing

new delhi: expressing shock over the killing of sp mla mansoor ahmed in front of the uttar pradesh raj bhawan on wednesday the congress demanded an enquiry by a sitting judge of the up high court into the incident. speaking here, party spokesman jaipal reddy expressed shock over the incident and said that no local enquiry would suffice. asked if the party would provide letters of support for forming the government in the state, reddy said senior leaders of the party were in touch with sp leaders and that the central leadership would take a decision on this regard and convey it to the state leadership.reminded of his earlier statement that the congress should play a decisive role in the formation of the government in the state reddy said he had made that statement in the pre-poll days and unfortunately the party is not in such a situation now.
