Chhattisgarh BJP supports Judeo for LS

RAIPUR: The Chhattisgarh election committee of the BJP, at its second meeting here in a week, has recommended former Union minister Dilip Singh Judeo as party nominee from the Mahasamund constitutency.
Judeo was forced to resign from the Union council of ministers when he was videotaped accepting money for doing a favour.
The list includes the name of state BJP president Nandkumar Sai from Surguja and Raigarh.The election committee has also told the central leadership that Rashtriya Jantrantrik Dal president V C Shukla, who has joined the NDA as its partner, be told to contest on the BJP’s lotus symbol. Shukla has gone to Delhi to meet the Prime Minister and BJP president.
The election committee, which reviewed the situation in different LS constitutencies, felt performance and goodwill of incumbent MPs should be considered before re-nominating them and suggested ‘‘tainted and weak’’ candidates be dropped and replaced by freshers with a good image.
