CBSE controversy: Govt action an eyewash, sack Dharmendra Pradhan, says Cong
NEW DELHI: Rejecting the action against the CBSE brass for the OSM controversy as an attempt to avoid fixing accountability, Congress on Tuesday reiterated its demand that education minister Dharmendra Pradhan be sacked.
While Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi dubbed the govt action as a “cover-up” and an “eyewash”, Congress general secretary KC Venugopal called it “admission of guilt without punishing the culprit”.
Congress spokesperson Jairam Ramesh lauded Gen Z for exposing Modi govt, even as he argued that “justice requires that the ‘Mantri Pradhan’ be sacked... He has been presiding over a monumentally corrupt, inept, and incompetent ecosystem that has played havoc with the lives of lakhs of youth.”
