CBI officer promoted

NEW DELHI: CBI officer Paramvir Singh was on Thursday promoted to the rank of special director in the agency.
A Tamil Nadu cadre IPS officer of the 1974 batch, Singh was earlier working as additional director and headed the anti-corruption wing of the agency.
Singh is the number 2 man in CBI and has worked in the agency for more than 15 years. In fact, CBI director Ashwani Kumar too is an IPS officer of the same batch.
