Boat capsizes in Bihar: 6 drown, 18 missing

CHHAPRA: Six people drowned while 18 went missing after a boat carrying them capsized in river Saryu at Matiyar in Bihar's Saran district on Wednesday.

Six bodies were fished out, only four of whom could be identified. All victims were farmers returning home after the plantation of 'parwal' in the diara area. A 12-member team of SDRF conducted search and rescue operations and tried to find the 18 missing people till it was dark and the operation had to be suspended for the day.
