'Main Bhi Ambedkar'

The opposition intensified its protest demanding the resignation of Union home minister Amit Shah with protests in the Parliament complex, with posters that read, 'Main Bhi Ambedkar', 'Jai Bhim' and 'Amit Shah maafi maango'.

Murdered democracy in our country: BJP hits back at Cong

Meanwhile the BJP, called the Congress "hypocrites, who murdered democracy" in the country. The party further added that it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi who "gave cognisance to Ambedkar’s last-mile delivery policy," and accused the grand old party of "misusing" the name of Ambedkar. 'Rahul pushed an MP'

The protests reached a tipping point when BJP MP from Balasore Pratap Chandra Sarangi alleged that he was injured when Rahul Gandhi "pushed an MP who fell on me after which I fell down." Sarangi also claimed that he suffered a head injury as a result of the scuffle.

Kharge writes to LS Speaker, urges inquiry

After the scuffle, Kharge wrote a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker urging him to "order an inquiry in the incident". the Congress chief claimed that he was "physically pushed by BJP MPs". He went to add that after this he lost his balance and was "forced to sit down."
"I was physically pushed by BJP MPs. Thereafter, I lost my balance and was forced to sit down on the ground in front of Makar Dwar. This inflicted injury on my knees which have already undergone surgery. Subsequently, Congress MPs brought a chair and I was made to sit on it," Kharge wrote in his letter. (Image credit: PTI)

BJP woman MP Phangnon Konyak writes letter to RS chairman

BJP MP Phangnon Konyak on Thursday accused Rahul of misbehaving with her while she, along with other MPs, was protesting below the staircase of the Parliament. Konyak shot a letter to Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar and said that the leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha "misbehaved with her in a loud voice and his physical proximity to her was so close that I being a lady member felt extremely uncomfortable."
