AMBALA: BJP workers on Wednesday held a demonstration against Haryana government for neglecting the assembly area of Ambala Cantt. The agitated partymen also burnt the effigy of Haryana chief minister at Sadar Chowk. The agitation procession, which started from Agrawal Dharmshala where the BJP leaders and supporters had gathered on Wednesday morning, ended at Sadar Chowk after passing through several bazaars.
Ambala Cantt MLA Anil Vij, who led the demonstration, alleged that the state government was adopting indifferent attitude in carrying out development works in his assembly constituency.

He said all roads in and outside the Cantt area were damaged by floodwaters in August last year, however, it was a matter of concern that these still haven't been repaired.”State government is ignoring several assembly constituencies, including Ambala Cantt. Over seven months back, almost all roads of the area were badly damaged or washed away in the floods, but the government is not taking any interest in repairing these. These roads are not only causing inconvenience to people but resulting in accidents,” said Anil Vij. Attacking the land acquisition policy of the state government, Vij alleged that the CM was catering to land mafia and promoting corruption in the name of development.
