NEW DELHI: The Opposition is looking forward to the monsoon session of Parliament to put the government on the mat, with BJP veteran L K Advani saying the entire Opposition may get together to take on the UPA regime.
"The entire Opposition should formulate a coordinated plan of action in Parliament to expose the misdeeds of the Congress. The forthcoming monsoon session provides the right opportunity to put the government on the mat," Advani said while addressing a party gathering on the occasion of Shyama Prasad Mookerjee's martyrdom day at Talkatora Stadium here.
While he started his attack by demanding that "the prime minister must break his silence and tell the nation on what happened and who was responsible for bugging finance minister Pranab Mukherjee's office", he went to say, "Had it been a small matter, Pranab Mukherjee would not have complained to Singh in this regard...

He is an intelligent person and hence I consider this a serious issue."
Taking on the PM, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, Advani said, "The Congress today has become the fiefdom of a single family. The office of prime minister is reserved either for the nominee or a member of the Nehru family. India is paying a heavy price because of a weak and helpless prime minister nominated by the Congress president. Now, a new demand is emerging from within the Congress party that a scion of the Nehru family should take over as India’s prime minister. India cannot be led either by a weak prime minister or an inexperienced prime minister."
