Birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru celebrated

PUDUCHERRY: Chief minister V Vaithilingam, Speaker R Radhakrishnan PWD minister M O H F Shahjahan and welfare minister M Kandasamy legislators and freedom fighters garlanded the statue of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on the occasion of his 121st birth anniversary on Sunday.
Vaithilingam also distributed books and stationery to the school children on the occasion.
Earlier, chief minister led the Congress partymen to pay floral tributes at the portrait of Nehru at the celebration of the leader’s birth anniversary in PCC office.
