NEW DELHI: Banka is one of the 40 Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar. Elections in Bihar will take place in 7 phases. Votes would be counted on June 4.
Date of votingParliamentary elections in Banka will take place in Phase 2 on April 26 as announced by the Election Commission of India on March 16.
CandidatesKey candidates who would be contesting from this seat include Jay Prakash Narayan Yadav from RJD and Giridhari Yadav from JD(U). The former is a part of Mahagathbandhan alliance while the latter is a part of the BJP-led NDA bloc.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Giridhari Yadav of JD(U) emerged victorious by securing 47.98% of the votes polled. He won against Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav of RJD who could manage to secure 27.84% of the votes polled.
ResultThe votes would be counted simultaneously for all seats across the country on June 4.
