BHOPAL: Did sub-inspector Chetna Sharma — who was found dead in her quarters in Bhind district on November 30 — know that she was going to be killed?
The National Commission of Women has claimed that it is in possession of a letter written by Chetna complaining of sexual harassment.
In the letter, Chetna recorded the manner in which the Bhind SP was harassing her.

She also wrote that her life was under threat.
The National Commission of Women has also sought to know from the government why no case has been registered yet in this connection.
Chetna (29), a sub-inspector posted in Bhind, Madhya Pradesh, was found dead in her quarters in the Police Lines on November 30.
A day before her death, she had sent a signed letter to the National Commission of Women alleging that she was being sexually harassed by her senior, Raja Babu Singh, the then Bhind SP.
Chetna's father, Kedarnath, had approached the National Commission of Women demanding a CBI probe into his daughter's death.

In his letter to the National Commission of Women, Kedarnath had said he had no faith in the investigating agencies handling the case, because they were under the state government.
He had alleged that more than three weeks after his daughter's death, the state hadn't registered a case of murder. The case is being investigated by the state CID.
Kedarnath told TOI, "My daughter was so harassed by her senior officer that she approached the NCW for help. She had also borrowed a sophisticated mobile phone from one of her cousins in which she recorded the SP's misbehaviour. This recording became the cause of her death."
However, Singh has been transferred. Inspector general of CID Rina Mitra, who is leading the probe, said her department would be ready with the next step within a fortnight.
