PATNA: The ruling RJD maintained its winning spree in the Lok Sabha polls in Bihar, with its candidates on Wednesday bagging both the Siwan and Bettiah parliamentary seats.
The EC had ordered repoll in these two constituencies due to allegations of irregularities during polling in the second phase on April 26. The repolls were held on May 24.
Controversial RJD candidate Mohd Shahabuddin, currently lodged in jail, trounced his JD(U) rival Om Prakash Yadav by over 1.03 lakh votes in Siwan.
Shahabuddin retained the seat, winning it for the fourth consecutive term.
