NEW DELHI: Belgaum, is one of the 28 Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka. The constituency is set to witness the Lok Sabha elections in May 2024, with the voting scheduled for May 7 (Phase 3). The results for the Belgaum Lok Sabha constituency will be declared on June 4.

Belgaum Lok Sabha Constituency holds a significant position in Karnataka's political landscape, known for its diverse demographic and substantial influence on Indian politics. As the 2024 elections approach, the electorate is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to exercise their voting rights. The prominent candidates contesting the 2024 elections in Belgaum include Jagadeesh Shettar from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Mrunal Ravindra Hebbalkar from the Indian National Congress (INC).

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Angadi Suresh Channabasappa of the BJP emerged victorious in the Belgaum constituency, securing 761,991 votes. Dr Sadhunavar of the INC received 370,687 votes, resulting in a substantial margin of 391,304 votes in favor of Angadi Suresh Channabasappa.

The 2014 Lok Sabha election in Belgaum saw Angadi Suresh Channabasappa of the BJP defeat Laxmi R Hebbalkar of the INC by a margin of 75,860 votes. Angadi Suresh Channabasappa secured 554,417 votes, while Laxmi R Hebbalkar received 478,557 votes.
