BC empowerment on the top of Jagan's agenda as he named 6 LS and 15 assembly candidates

VIJAYAWADA: YSRCP named former MP Botcha Jhansi as party candidate for Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency. A former MP, Jhansi is the wife of cabinet minister Botcha Satyanarayana. Sitting MP from Visakhapatnam MVV Satyanarayana will be contesting assembly election from Vizag East segment.

Education minister Botcha Satyanarayana and state government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy released third list of candidates for the upcoming assembly and Lok Sabha elections on Thursday. Party named Tekkali MLA Perada Tilak has been named as Srikakulam MP candidate. MLC Duvvada Srinivas will be the candidate for assembly election from Tekkali. At least four legislators have been shifted to Lok Sabha constituencies in order to protect the party loyalists. Sticking to his social empowerment agenda, CM has picked up five BC candidates out of six declared on Thursday.

Vijayawada TDP MP Kesineni Nani who met the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday, has been named as party candidate from Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency. Housing minister Jogi Ramesh has been shifted to Penamalur constituency from Pedana while Uppala Ramu has been named as candidate from Pedana. Both Ramu and Jogi Ramesh belongs to Gowda (BC) community. Penamaluru sitting MLA K Pardhasaradhi is likely to join TDP.

Party has named Dr Karumuri Suneel Kumar as candidate for Lok Sabha elections from Eluru constituency. Sitting MP Kotagiri Sridhar has refused to contest the elections. Dr Karumuri Suneel is son of cabinet minister Karumuri Nageswara Rao.

Former minister Gummanuru Jayaram has been field from Kurnool Lok Sabha constituency. Sitting MLA from Satyavedu Koneti Adimulam will contest Tirupati Lok Sabha elections while sitting MP Dr Gurumurthi will contest assembly elections from Satyavedu. Party has named Pirya Vijaya as candidate from Itchapuram assembly segment while Dr K Vijayaramaraju is named as candidate from Chintalapudi segment. The sitting MLA Eliza has been denied ticket.

Former MLA Mettu Govinda Reddy is party candidate from Rayadurg of Ananthapuram while party denied ticket to sitting MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy. Former MLA Buchepalli Sivaprasada Reddy is candidate from Darsi in Prakasam district while sitting MLA Maddisetti Venugopal missed the chance. Party fielded Nissar Ahmed as party candidate from Madanapalle by replacing the sitting legislator Shanawaz Basha. YSR district ZP chairman Akepati Amarnatha Reddy has been named as Rajampet candidate while denying chance to sitting MLA Meda Mallikharjuna Reddy.
