SRINAGAR: News about the Delhi high court acquitting lecturer S A R Geelani in the parliament attack case was received in his hometown, Baramulla, with joy and people made a beeline for his house there describing it as the victory of truth.
"It is victory of truth as Geelani was not remotely connected with those who engineered the attack on parliament".

This was how most people coming to his house at Jadeed Mohalla in Baramulla, 55 kms from here, reacted to his acquittal.
Father of Geelani, Moulvi Habibullah, said he has no words to thank god that his son has been acquitted in the case in which he was falsely implicated.
"It is because of almighty god that people like Ram Jethmalani and other justice loving personalities came forward and helped him," the Moulvi said.
"Wednesday''s court verdict has restored faith of the people in the judiciary", he said.
Delhi teachers association, human rights bodies, defence committee for Geelani worked round the clock to prove his innocence, he said, adding the all deserve congratulations.
