Banks attach Vijay Mallya's Kingfisher Villa in Goa

PANAJI: Vijay Mallya's Kingfisher Villa in Candolim was on Friday taken over by bankers' consortium, represented by SBICAPS.
On Wednesday, North Goa collector and district magistrate Nila Mohanan had passed an order allowing banks to take physical possession of ‘Kingfisher Villa’.
The Villa, valued at Rs 90 crore, was liquor baron Vijay Mallya’s base for hosting lavish parties in Goa.

The main gate to the property was sealed.
Representing the bankers' consortium, SBICAPS had sought physical possession of the property under Section 14 of the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act in late 2014.
