NEW DELHI: At the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is set to embark on a state visit to India from June 21 to June 22, 2024. This visit is will be Hasina's first bilateral state visit since the formation of the new government following the 18th Lok Sabha elections.
During her visit, Sheikh Hasina will engage in bilateral talks with Prime Minister Modi. She will also meet with President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. Additionally, the external affairs minister will hold discussions with the Bangladeshi Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Hasina had earlier attended the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Modi and his Union Council of Ministers on June 9, 2024. This visit aims to further strengthen the deep-rooted ties between India and Bangladesh.
