Bail plea of 3 Chinese nationals denied

A CJM court today rejected the bail plea of three Chinese nationals, including a woman, who were arrested last month on charges of illegally entering Indian territory and taking pictures of important installations.

SHRAVATI: A CJM court today rejected the bail plea of three Chinese nationals, including a woman, who were arrested last month on charges of illegally entering Indian territory and taking pictures of important installations.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Satya Prakash Dwiwedi observed that the charges against the three Chinese nationals were of grievous nature and turned down their application, prosecution sources said here.

The three were remanded to judicial custody till February 11 by the court.
Liao Xing, Yu Dangli and Yang Liu were arrested by SSB near Rupaidiha check post on Indo-Nepal border on January 17 when they were taking pictures of some important installations.
"Photographs of SSB camp and Indian border were found in camera of the arrested Chinese nationals," Special Director General, Law and Order Brij Lal had said.
An Indian PAN card, two mobiles and a camera were recovered from them.
The Chinese nationals were booked under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act and Section 3/III of Passport Act.
