Baby drinks diesel by mistake, dies
A one-and-half-year-old girl died in a village in Tamil Nadu's Cuddalore Thursday after consuming diesel, mistaking it for water. The deceased was identified as Mythili. On Feb 5, Mythili was playing nearby while her mother was cooking. The child grabbed a bottle containing diesel and drank it, believing it was water. She was taken to a hospital, where she succumbed during treatment. TNN
