Baba Siddique murder case: Shooter, four others arrested from UP

NEW DELHI: Mumbai crime branch announced on Sunday that they have arrested the shooter in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique from Uttar Pradesh. In a joint operation with the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF), which included six officers and fifteen personnel, the cops arrested suspected shooter Shiva Kumar along with four other suspects.

They are now being transported to Mumbai.



Alongside Shiva Kumar, four others--Anurag Kashyap, Gyan Prakash Tripathi, Akash Srivastava, and Akhileshendra Pratap Singh, were also arrested for assisting him in his escape and aiding his attempted flight to Nepal.

Siddique was fatally shot on October 12 by three attackers outside the office building of his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique, in Bandra East. He sustained two gunshot wounds to his chest and was taken to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, where he succumbed.
