AIZAWAL: Assam Rifles personnel guarding the 404km-long Mizoram-Myanmar international border seized 150kg of explosives, 1,800 detonators and 3km-long cordtex in Lawngtlai district bordering Myanmar, reports

AR said the explosives were seized along Sangau-Pangkhua road from two people who had hidden them in a Mahindra Bolero heading for Myanmar. Siamthanga and his wife were arrested for possession of and alleged intention to smuggle the weapons to Myanmar.
