Despite Arunachal Pradesh having faced heavy rains in recent weeks, conditions had improved in the past two days, with no rain forecasted for Sunday. However, the unexpected cloudburst occurred around 10:30 am, causing widespread disruption.

Additionally, several sections of NH-415, a crucial route for the residents of the state capital, experienced flood-like conditions, as reported by a Disaster Management Department official.

Numerous vehicles were left stranded on the highway due to the adverse conditions.

In response to the crisis, the district administration issued warnings for residents to avoid rivers and landslide-prone zones and advised moving to safer locations amid the ongoing heavy rains.
