Amarmani's wife gives up before court

LUCKNOW: Former Uttar Pradesh minister Amarmani Tripathi’s wife Madhumani, an accused in the poet Madhumita Shukla murder case, surrendered in a CBI court here on Thursday.
Madhumani arrived in the court of special judicial magistrate, CBI, Digvijay Nath and moved an application for her judicial custody.
CBI contended her plea and sought five days’ police custody.The magistrate, however, remanded her to judicial custody till April 14.
Madhumani had gone missing from November 13 last year. A day later, CBI served a notice asking her to appear before it for questioning.
After the court issued a NBW against her in January this year, Madhumani moved an application on March 22 seeking three weeks’ time to surrender.
A CBI application for attachment of her property was to come up in the court on March 29.
