The Election Commission of India, in a significant announcement on March 16, revealed the dates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, setting the stage for a democratic spectacle.

Voters in Allahabad will exercise their franchise on May 25, marking Phase 6 of the electoral process, as per the schedule released by the Election Commission.

In the run-up to the 2024 elections, voter enthusiasm is palpable, with citizens eager to assert their democratic rights. The list of prominent candidates for the Allahabad Lok Sabha Constituency includes Ramesh Kumar Patel from Bahujan Samaj Party, Neeraj Tripathi from Bharatiya Janata Party, and Ujjwal Rewati Raman Singh from Indian National Congress.

Following the polling day, all eyes will be on June 4, the date earmarked for the counting of votes and the announcement of results. This crucial juncture will determine the trajectory of political representation in Allahabad for the ensuing term.

Reflecting on the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Rita Bahuguna Joshi secured victory as the sitting MP, garnering 494,454 votes. The runner-up candidate, Rajendra Singh Patel, trailed behind with 310,179 votes, resulting in a significant victory margin of 184,275 votes.
