Over 10 million interactions a week... Indians certainly have a lot to say to Alexa
BENGALURU: Amazon has enabled its voice assistant Alexa, which is housed in smart speakers and other devices, to speak to Indian customers in Hindi. But what are the questions desis are asking 'her'? Every minute, an Indian professes love for the virtual assistant. And every two minutes someone proposes marriage to it. Alexa’s welfare also seems to be of much concern with users asking it “How are you” or "Kaisi ho" 11 times per minute.
In fact, Indian customers are now interacting with Alexa more than 10 million times each week, much higher than users in the US or UK, said Puneesh Kumar, India country manager for Alexa experience & devices.
