Akhilesh hits out at Yogi: 'Bulldozers to be sent to Lakhimpur also?'

KANPUR: After casting his vote in Saifai, his ancestral village, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday hit out at chief minister Yogi Adityanath, stating that Yogi aka `Bulldozer Baba’ always talks about bulldozers.
“Now, I want to ask the `Bulldozer Baba’ that when after March 10 bulldozers come after undergoing repairs will they be sent to the house of a minister’s son who crushed farmers to death in Lakhimpur Kheri or to the house of a mafia don playing cricket in Jaunpur?,” he questioned.
Accusing the CM of having relations with big mafia dons, Akhilesh said, “He (Yogi Adityanath) meets mafia dons in jails and spends time with them there. The CM stayed in Varanasi jail for three hours. He should reveal that with whom he had tea and breakfast there,” Akhilesh said and added that “before accusing others, he should first look in the mirror.”
On ‘Netaji’ (Mulayam Singh Yadav) campaigning for him in Karhal, Akhilesh said, “We samajwadis are proud that `Netaji’ had come and appealed to people to vote for the party. No matter how old a Samajwadi is he cannot stay away from his people. ‘Netaji’ came to Karhal as he did his schooling from there. He also taught there and learnt wrestling moves. His vote appeal is a big thing for us,” Akhilesh said.
The SP chief said that the BJP is a confused party. “The BJP suffers a stomach ache if `Netaji’ stays with us. The BJP develops pain if Netaji stays away from us. The BJP gets nervous when `Netaji’ goes to his constituency,” he added.
Responding to an allegation by Union minister Anurag Thakur, Akhilesh said if the picture is the parameter of anything, then there are also pictures of senior BJP leaders posing with industrialists who were involved in bank scams. “Will they all answer what is their role in this corruption? When I was an MP, BJP leaders bowed down to their feet in Lok Sabha to pose with a general of Pakistan who later became president,” he said and added, “If a picture is the parameter of something, then what do we call it? I have studied at a military school. My picture is also with the highest officers of the Army. Anurag Thakur is also with me in some pictures on several occasions.”
Akhilesh said that farmers, youths and traders would wipe out BJP from the state. “People of the state want change. Every promise of the BJP turned out to be a `jumla’. Every advertisement turned out to be false. Pictures of an advertisement turned out to be false. BJP leaders speak white lies,” said Akhilesh.
The SP chief said that people are troubled by inflation. “Electricity has become expensive. Gas cylinders have turned expensive. Diesel and petrol have become expensive. Farmers are unhappy all over the state including the Bundelkhand region. Stray animals are destroying crops of farmers. Farmers are losing their lives in bull attacks,” he said and added, “People will not forgive the BJP and will wipe it out from across the state.”
The SP President said that he always comes to vote in his native village Saifai in elections. “This time also I have voted. I appeal to all to vote without fail. The more voters will turn out to vote, the stronger will be our democracy. Voting is essential,” he said.
