Ajit Doval discusses Myanmar with Hasina in Dhaka

NEW DELHI: NSA Ajit Doval called on Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina during an unannounced visit to Dhaka last week, govt sources have confirmed. This was the first high-level visit from India to Bangladesh since Hasina returned to power in the elections last year.

Security related issues, including the deteriorating security situation in Myanmar, figured on Doval's engagements in Dhaka, according to sources. The visit also came days before Bangladesh's foreign minister Hasan Mahmud's visit to India. He is expected to arrive on Tuesday for a three-day visit.
