Actor mocks Moon mission; shameful, say BJP, Congress

Actor Prakash Raj was criticised on Monday for a post on X viewed by many as mocking India's moon mission Chandrayaan. On Sunday, he had shared a cartoon showing a man in a shirt and sarong pouring tea. He captioned the cartoon in Kannada, and wrote, "Latest news: First view just arrived from the Chandrayaan Vikram Lander. Just asking." "Prakash ji, you should be very ashamed of yourself for mocking and insulting the selfless contributions of our patriotic scientists like Dr Abdul Kalam, T K Anuradha and others," said C R Keshavan, BJP's national spokesperson.

Congress spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said, "I condemn Prakash Raj for this shameful tweet."
