Aadhaar's Twitter humour is intact, Virender Sehwag approves
NEW DELHI: Aadhaar's Twitter presence brought many laughs on the occasion of Diwali, and it has now proven its humour is here to stay, with a witty reply to another Twitter star Virender Sehwag.
It all started with Sehwag saying he's impressed with New Zealand cricketer Ross Taylor's Hindi, which the latter displayed in an earlier tweet. Sehwag marked his tweet to Aadhaar as well, asking if Taylor can be eligible for a unique ID (Aadhaar) based on his language skills.
Aadhaar promptly replied, saying:
And 'Viru', quite a Twitter star himself, owing to his witty quips and punchy rejoinders, appeared impressed with Aadhaar's reply.
Aadhaar then even tweeted an explainer, that showed who is eligible for Aadhaar.
It sure made 'Viru' happy.
Aadhaar first displayed its humour during Diwali with a reply to a snarky Tweeter who had asked:
Aadhaar replied, saying Ravana wasn't a resident of India so was ineligible for Aadhaar.
The Twitterati at large approved. Some said whoever handles Aadhaar's social media account should get a raise.
One person paid Aadhaar the ultimate compliment, calling it "cool".

Aadhar card is a great idea but the implementation has been greatly flawed, yes it should be made mandatory only when the GOI can ensure proper IT infrastructure and security measures that such information Is not accessible to public or corporations or marketing firm, currently all the information is easily available if one know how to look and with GOI making Aadhar mandatory without proper systems in place is a gigantic flaw as your personal information, identity and all important information is easily accessibleRead allPost comment
