6 held for cow slaughter in Dewas

dewas: six people have been arrested in village khedi rajpur of the district after group clashes and incidents of arson on thursday over slaughter of a cow, police said on friday. police said two groups clashed over the slaughter of a cow and several houses belonging to a minority community were set on fire in the village. while two persons were arrested in connection with the slaughter, four others were held for indulging in violence, sources said.senior administration and police officials including the divisional commissioner swarnamala rawla, inspector general, pannalal, dewas collector ashok varnwal and sp d c sagar have rushed to the village and were monitoring the situation, police said. situation in the village was tense but under control, police added.
