KISHANGANJ: Four undertrials escaped by scaling the wall of the jail here in the wee hours Monday, Jail Superintendent SP Mishra said. The prisoners broke open the window of ward number 11 of the jail where they were lodged in connection with the criminal cases against them and scaled the wall to flee, Mishra said. Two wardens were placed under suspension on the charge of dereliction of duty, he said.
The escapees were identified as Nazir Khan, Manoj Kumar Yadav, Karan Kumar Thakur and Gyanchand. Raids were being carried out at different places to apprehend the escapees.
