2 Pakistan-trained operatives nabbed in Kolkata
KOLKATA/SURI: Bengal STF arrested two Pakistan-trained terrorists with links to banned terror outfit, Jamatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), from Birbhum's Nalhati and Murarai on Friday.
A Birbhum court will hear the case on Saturday and asked police to keep the arrested duo in jail overnight. Police told the court that both suspects must be questioned in the backdrop of the current hostilities with Pakistan.
STF said suspects Ajmol Hossain and Saheb Ali Khan were involved in spreading radical ideology and had links with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). "They are part of a module that is engaged in dissemination of seditious and jihadi material using encrypted, sophisticated media, and also planning to target certain people and places," Indrajit Basu, SP (operations) of STF, said. Hossain's father said he was innocent.
