MUMBAI: Delighted at being included in both the Indian Test and ODI teams for the tour of South Africa, Ajinkya Rahane says he's preparing to conquer the mind games and come out a winner if presented with an opportunity.
All set to play for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy against Vidarbha, Rahane, on Tuesday, said he's already set his mind on the South African sojourn. "In international cricket you not only need to be technically sound, but also be able to fight the mind games.

You have to be mentally strong and I have been working on that as well. I'm sure in South Africa, it will be more about overcoming the mind games.
"I'm really happy about making the cut for both Tests and ODIs and I think my recent performances have paid off. I am confident and want to go out there, enjoy and put my best foot forward," he said.
The 25-year-old, who made his Test debut in the match that India won against Australia in Delhi this March is, however, cautious and has been training hard. "I went to South Africa recently during the India 'A' tour and played some crucial knocks. I am sure that my previous experience will hold me in good stead. I have prepared myself for the conditions there especially the short-ball. I hope to get an opportunity and live up to the expectations of my team."
